I am a graduate of the University of California, San Diego and Indiana University School of Law, Bloomington.  I began my career as an intern for the 4th Colorado Judicial District Attorney's Office, and transitioned into the private practice of law, which over the years included counseling and representing clients over a diverse array of subject matters.  In 2010, I made the transition to educational consulting due to my desire to invest my efforts in more meaningful work while still utilizing my skills and background in the legal field.

Since 2008, I have had the privilege of serving on the board of Sharon India Foundation, which is dedicated to assisting a group of pastors in Hyderabad, India, who are ministering to widows, orphans, and the Dalit, or "Untouchable," people of that region.  I had the opportunity to travel to Hyderabad and witness the work that the foundation is doing to reach out to these outcasts, who are among the poorest people in the world.

My wife, Mary, and I have five children, and I credit my family for my passion to help other families who are going through challenging times.  I have served as Chairman of the Board of the private school that my children attend and am actively involved in their education.

I have been professionally engaged in guidance and personal placement for over 30 years.  I began counseling fellow students on a voluntary basis while in college, founding a campus-wide organization dedicated to preparing students for challenges in the "real world."  After earning a degree in Psychology from the College of Charleston, I continued my efforts on a full-time basis for the following four years on university campuses in the United States, the Philippines, Taiwan and Hong Kong.  I followed this with a five-year stint as Asia Pacific Project Director of a US charitable foundation, during which I evaluated educational and humanitarian programs throughout Asia.  My experience linking people with resources led me to found an executive placement firm specializing in the financial sectors throughout the Asia Pacific region and the United States.  In 1995, the needs of my own family exposed me to the world of alternative education.  Since then, I have assisted families in evaluating educational options outside the public school system through Hall Consulting.

My wife, Ruth, and I have three adult children.
